I'm still a noob barb, but here is a heads up so you don't have to wipe out your squad a few times before you learn.
This info is mainly for tiger barbs, 'cause that's what I am. Most of this stuff doesn't need to be said if a person thinks things through beforehand. If you're more like me and just kinda push buttons randomly and click on pretty colors, keep reading.
Wait for the whole party to be ready before you begin attacking the boss. Sounds easy, but don't rush to attack.
If you aren't fully charmed (have hp and mp charms equiped) be sure to have hp/mp pots and life/jade powders even if you don't think you need them, 'cause it's better to be prepared.
Bring some of those apoth things that increase chi. You can also use the skill that increases chi. (I'll update this with names later.)
Don't use bloodbath if you are the one holding aggro.
If you are only adding damage and not the primary tank, don't attack in tiger form.
I just did an fb29 this morning and it should have been really easy. I didn't get the whole squad killed, so I was glad for that. However I did die 3 times on a wined fb29 . . . each death was completely my own fault and also caused others to die. It reminded me of how much I disliked noob-barbs as an archer.
